GRANDPA WHAT IS HEAVEN LIKE

“Grandpa what is heaven like”? My immediate response was “ a wonderful place where Heavenly Father lives” seemed satisfactory for the moment, but deserves a much clearer explanation. Heaven is like sitting in an Easter Service with our family; or being with my eternal companion in the Newport Beach Temple with all seven children and all seven companions while all 10 grandchildren are turning the Temple waiting area into a free-for-all play room. Heaven is like: Harrison sinking a 30-foot chip on the 18th hole at Entrada. Bailey offering a family prayer that brought a special spirit to our evening meal. Cameron helping Morgan find an Easter treat and Morgan saying thank you. Zachary showing Weston how to maneuver the red rock trails. Owen enjoying the give and take of a family water fight. Samuel throwing and catching a basketball, tennis ball or any kind of a ball. Holden paddling happily around the swimming pool. Mia walking first gingerly, and later aggressively across the grass. Weston cuddling-up while watching an afternoon movie. Heaven is like: Matt and Kay sharing Nuetrogina Products. Robert and Jocelyn organizing night games. John and Megan preparing dinner for 26. Andy and Annette playing tennis. Josh and Katie raising three active boys. Alex and Liz entertaining grandchildren. Ryan and Rachel bathing Mia. Grandma Sue making her famous Easter bunny cakes or “tearing-up” while expressing gratitude for her practically perfect family and a most marvelous year. And heaven is like what we all enjoyed at our St. George Entrada retreat this Easter weekend. Thank you all for making it so special. Love Grandpa and Dad
